Slack Integration

Use our Slack integration to get instant notifications when there are new activities on your SlashPage site.
🔜
Currently, the Slack integration is available only to SlashPage beta testers, but it will soon be released to all users.

How SlashPage Slack App works

The Slack integration sends notifications to a designated Slack channel whenever there are new posts on your site. You can customize these notifications to include only the key details or the full content.

Connect to Slack

In the channel you want to connect, click the ••• menu in the top right corner and select Channel Settings.
Go to the Integrations tab, find the Slack integration, and click Connect .
After signing into your Slack workspace, click Allow to grant access to SlashPage.

Select a Channel

First, give your connection a name or description in the Connection name field to easily manage multiple integrations.
You can send SlashPage notifications to either a public or private channel.

Public Channel

Open the dropdown menu in the Select a target Slack Channel field and choose a channel you want to connect.

Private Channel

Open your private channel in Slack.
Click the channel name in the conversation header.
Go to the Integrations tab and click Add an App.
Search for 'SlashPage' and click Add .
Return to your SlashPage site, refresh the page, and select the private channel from the dropdown menu.

Customize the message

By default, SlashPage notifications include the full content of each activity in your Slack messages. You can personalize these messages to display only the specific details you need.
Here’s the default message format.
You can format messages to include key details for better understanding. Click + to insert specific data from your site. After customizing the message, click Save to complete the integration.

Slack supports mrkdwn formatting to style your text. Here are some examples:

If the integration is successful, you will see it in the Connections tab.
A green toggle indicates that the integration is enabled. Here, you can turn the integration on or off, edit the integration details (connection name, target channel, and message), or delete the integration.
Now you can receive real-time notifications from your SlashPage site, like in the example below.
